The real marathon trip to Canada - Episode 9. Farewell to the hitchhiker

As usual I got up early, went to the kitchen, heated the pie I bought yesterday in the microwave, it was still dark outside and I heard and believed it snowed last night. That was the first snowfall in the Rockies this year. I was a lucky person. As I was eating breakfast, Masa came up and still looked like in the bed-dreaming shape. His hair standed up firmly and he was thinking of something every second, probably the decision he had made which would bring him into a new adventure. You really taking him to the lake? He asked. "No, I told him I could only bring him to the fall, the Athabasca falls, and send him back. He would top up the gas for me."I answered. This was a beautiful wish. But never count on a person who's looking for a lift,in most case he's looking for freebies. When you hitchhike a stranger, hopefully a good guy, please enjoy the companion and laughter instead of peeling off anything from him. If he offered the cash at the end of the trip, take it, because you deserve...

The real marathon trip to Canada - Episode 8. Three new friends!!!

Do you need hitchhike? Where are you going?

Yes, I'm going to Jasper.

I'm going there,too.

Oh, really?

Yes. You need a ride?

Yes.

Come on in! ah... but... Can you share the gas?

ahh~~~I don't...

The real marathon trip to Canada - Episode 7. The morning in Calgary

当然我坐的车就会报"this train is for City Center"。Hop in,...

The real marathon trip to Canada - Episode 6. Don't arrive an unknown city in the dark!

The real marathon trip to Canada - Episode 5. The Half Marathon

The real marathon trip to Canada - Episode 4. I did enjoy the shower

GO...

The real marathon trip to Canada - Episode 3. Hello！Toronto

不过，我见到眼前这么堆洋早餐，没有什么胃口，还傻傻的拿了片面包问别人“do you think I should bake this?"...

9.22 Shanghai-Hongkong-Vancouver

Followed a "loose fat pacer", I made history by running 7 laps non-stop.

4k I guess

Saturday workout at the same old place. Walk-jog to the track. 500meters one lap. I found it was easier to have someone to lead you when you run. That's why big race has pacers. 6 laps on the track and 1.5k street walk and run. My body is getting used to the running routine, it's good. I start to feel less hardship as I run the same mile when I started. And I have the strong wish to do the extra mile before closing the day's workout. But I don't want to overdo it. The rule is start slow, build the mileage.

Unfortunately, the guy I followed falled on his chest as he tried to avoid the couple taking walk. The track was quite narrow. Poor guy, so embarressing. I lost my pacer today and be the lonely runner, because no one ran faster than me.

Running half marathon in September

Ok, so it seems I will be running the half marathon every 3 years (when I will be running the "full" marathon I am thinking... ...) . A week ago I registered for the Toronto Waterfront Half Marathon. Another every-three-years challenge for myself. And I always talk to myself I should do better than the last time. So far I've kept to my word very well. I hope I can make it in 2 hours this year. However I know well that I would not achieve this without proper training. So today starts training. There are 4 months to go until the race day and I can almost see something .

shi ba ra ku de su ne ! Hey what's up? Seems I'm only talking to myself, but the fact is not so. I know every day there were people stopped by this page and realized the site was no longer updated since last year. However the site counter shows that this blog is still alive! Glad to know this, which agrees with writer's thought. You know, writer's block kind of stuff, you never know when you can get through it. For me, it took 6 months. OMG, I can't believe I am back now!

awesome and awful

For the first time in four years, I went to the theater to watch a film. The name of it was "TRANSFORMERS". A big name huh! Last time in cinema was in 2003, I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl with my dad. He was quite fond of the film, considering it an exciting and enjoyable experience, and I totally agreed with him.

This time the screening started at 21:45, I chose the seat at the box office, happy to see only a dozens of people bought this hour. So I thought it would be cozy to watch a film in a screening room with a lot of empty seats. But it was a Hollywood hit as I was awaken to realize when I saw people swarmed in, filling the seats around me few minutes before the film began. Disappointed, plastic bag noise, cell phone light, chatty people, and on top of everything, I would have liked to fight with the man sit in front of me for my right to see the subtitle. The man stupidly had a long neck , his head sticking out like a...

Another video

I have the good reason for the bad quality of this video, because I’m not professional. I simply enjoyed the process of making it. For another thing that the footage was captured off DV by USB wire, which resulted in such a bad pictures.

You may be familiar with the lines, yes, it’s from Garden State, Zach Braff is one of my favorite actors, so I make him the father. The son is perhaps an unknown future star.

If you have trouble reading the dialogue, remember other people is too confused by this. The story is meaningless, so don’t take it seriously. I hope you enjoy this video as I do! If you don’t like, just stop it.

The lost art of letter writing

Video weekend!

I know it's pretty much the same trick as the last video, but with different subject obviously.

This stack of letters is made possible with the help of my penpals from different countries and DW radio.

May this video here motivate you to write a letter to that precious friend or "special someone!"
