Saving for the Future

I have opened a bank account to save up for the future.. each week I will deposit 23.2% of my income. I hope it will be enough. I need to have a reserve in case of an emergency; in case I need to go rescue a friend from another country, in case I need to pay for a big phone bill, in case I need to buy a birthday present, a plane ticket, a doctors bill, a tv, just in case...
With this exercise, I am also putting a value on my life, my activities.. I have a plan, I am working on that plan, it is worth something to me and I intend to achieve it .... This process gives me a sense of pride and purpose. If I never spend the money on anything, I can always donate it to a good cause, then do the whole process again...Every time I get the bank account full, I will have more confidence in myself, what I am capable of etc...
Saving for the future is a lot like saving the future too.. I am preparing for a successful outcome - I will be able to afford to go resuce my friend from another country.., I will be able to afford the big phone bill, the repairs on my car... what I am doing now, is already making the future come true... Every time I make a deposit to the savings account, I am making my dreams a reality. I will have enough money to get the whatever it is by the time I need it so there is no chance of any hassles.. things should go ok.. because I am working towards a plan.. the plan to save the future.. :)
