Uganda Safari

It is situated in the distant northwest of Rwanda, neighboring Mgahinga National Park and Virunga National Park. Nature Walks Bwindi
Nature walks are opportunities for visitors staying for 2 or 3 days in Bwindi. There are 5 fantastic hiking trails and all these permit you to see and gain knowledge of Uganda safari primate, numerous bird varieties, butterflies, trees and other organisms.

Buhoma Village Tourist Walk
Managed by the local community, the walk takes up to 3hours and the proceeds return to the community A number of fascinating sites are introduced by the walk  Kenya safari such as local traditional healers quarters, typical rural homestead, a banana beer brewing demonstration site and much more. Women and orphan groups treat visitors to cultural performances in evenings on request.

Hit the Trial in your Car
Visitors with owned 4-wheel vehicles have the luxury of crossing the rugged center of the park through Ruhija to view the finest vistas of deep undisturbed forests. At this point, tourists take the 3 hour scenery packed hike to Bwindi Swamp. Walks to the Bamboo zone panoramic sights of lakes Bunyonyi and Mafuga forest can also be made at Ruhija.

Bwindi is the bird watchers haven! 346 species of birds and 90% of all albertine rift endemics difficult to see elsewhere in East Africa. Practiced bird watchers can identify up to 100 species in a day. In Buhoma and Ruhija, it’s a dream come true.

Access
Kabale is a distance of 414 km from Kampala on Bitumen surface and takes 6-7 hours. There is an additional of 120 km from Kabale to Buhoma park via Kanungu and Kanyantoroogo taking 3-4 hours and may require a 4-wheel drive vehicle.Kabale-Ruhija-Buhoma is 95 km and takes 3-4 hours. From Kampala to Butogota, buses are available and from Butogota to Buhoma park, taxis for hire go for about US$15. Public transport to Butogota is unpredictable but it is best to book in advance to be picked from Buhoma if you don’t have your own vehicle. Tanzania safari
