Heart Beat  - Health Show on RTV Bangla

RTV Bangla has embarked on airing  Heart Beat, an informative medical programmes that generate public awareness on health issues. The concept of the show has been developed by Dr Aunul Islam, PhD from Imperial College, University of London. The host of the show Natasha Khurshid is also a doctor. The show is a medical reality TV programme where the treatment is described and viewers get acquainted with case histories from the operation theatre.

Under the banner of Alpha-I Media Productions Ltd, the show is scheduled to be telecast every Saturday at 6:30pm on RTV Bangla.

New drama serial Nirontor on RTV Bangla

RTV Bangla telecasts new drama serial Nirontor from January 7 onwards. The play centres around a family, headed by Asfaq Shaheb. He has two daughters, Shayla and Mita and a son Ojit. His widowed sister Selina also lives with them. Three bachelors, Babu, Shahed and Shumon, live in the same building. As the play unfolds, each episode features the twists in the characters' relationships and the ups and downs in their everyday life.

The 26-episode serial will go on air every Tuesday at 8:50 pm.

Nirontor is directed by Albhi Ahmed and Mustafiz Shahin and the play is written by Alvi Ahmed.

Casting: Jayanto Chattyopadhyay, Dipa Khondokar, Somu Chowdhury, Arman Pervez and others.

Grihoshaily - programme on interior design

Grihoshaily, a programme on RTV Bangla features different aspects of interior design. The programme is intended to popularise the art of interior designing and to help people to modernise their homes. Grihoshaily comprises of six parts. In Nandipath, an architect or interior designer elaborately discusses the interior design of a house. Srijon Chhande shows how the discarded materials can be used for home design. Prangone mor features the interior of a celebrity's house and he/she talks about the choices of decorative items. Beshati features the price and availability of items for home design. In Pathshala, institutions that offers training on interior design are introduced. In Kothokotha, a guest architect talks about various aspects of home design.

Drama Serial Raja Bhawal Sannyasi on RTV Bangla

Raja Bhawal Sannyasi, drama serial based on a sensational case of the 1930s-1940s is now being telecasted on RTV Bangla. The 26-episode play revolves around the true story of Raja Mejokumar Rajendra Narayan Roy of Bhawal estate.

The central character of the drama serial is the Zamindar of the Bhawal estate. Being a philanthropist, he is fondly known as Raja among his people. The story advances with the Raja falling prey to a conspiracy involving his own wife and the people believing him to be dead. The story then takes an unexpected turn when years later Raja returns to the estate as a Sannyasi.

Jayanta Chatterjee plays the protagonist. He is backed up by Moushumi, Manosh Benarjee, Shamu Chowdhury, Khairul Alam Shobuj, Momena Chowdhury and others.

Telecasted at 8.00 pm on RTV Bangla.

Char Deyal on RTV Bangla

There's no stopping Shanta Islam, actress, TV anchor and director. Her latest programme Char Deyal is now aired on RTV Bangla. The first episode featured ad and theatre personality Sara Zaker. The specialtiy of Char Deyal, according to Shanta Islam is that the programme not only features a glimpse of the guest but will also feature her fans, relatives, friends, colleagues and her personality. Moreover in each episode the presenter will not be shown except for her profile."

The show will feature makeovers by renowned beautician Farzana Shakil and for the first time singer Anusheh of the Bangla band fame, will be introduced as a fashion designer. The programme will also showcase renowned recitor Shimul Mostafa, reciting a poem by Sunil Gangopadhyay.

The show is telecasted on Tuesdays at 8:50 pm and repeat telecast on Wednesdays at 10 am.
