A music programme titled, Kichu Kotha Kichu Gaan, is currently being telecasted on NTV Bangla. The show is hosted by Syed Abdul Hadi. The show includes Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Sangeet and the 'so-called' Aadhunik gaan. The team behind the origin of this programme include M Muzakker, Mostafa Kamal Syed and Syed Abdul Hadi.

Syed Abdul Hadi has been a major talent in Bangladeshi music arena for nearly 45 years. He first sang in an Urdu film entitled Eaee Bhi Ek Kahani in 1960. From then on, he was involved with the media. He is now utilising his vast experience in the field to find out the diversity as well as the chronological development of music in Bangladesh.

Kichu Kotha Kichu Gaan is telecasted every Wednesday at 9.20 pm.

Sheola on NTV Bangla

Sheola, a popular mega serial,  currently running on NTV Bangla, gained popularity because of its distinctive story line. The story revolves around two close friends who get into trouble for their Communist Party affiliations. After 20 years, when the children of these two friends grow up, they start to discover the unrevealed past of their ancestors.

Sheola  scored its century on June 7, 2006. Actress Tarin,  plays an important role in the serial. The serial features many popular artistes of the small screen, Zahid Hassan, Azizul Hakim, Tarin, Litu Anam, Bulbul Ahmed, Munira Yusuf Memi, Sumaiya Shimu, Jeetu, Farah Ruma, Richi Solaiman, Jitu Ahsan, Farzana Chhabi, Prabal. The play has been written and directed by Ferdous Hasan. Created under the banner of V-Net Entertainment, the serial will be aired at 9:40pm.

Bishokoy- Drama serial on NTV Bangla

A thirteen-episode drama serial 'Bishokhoy'  is currently telecasting on NTV Bangla . The story of the serial is about Mushfiq, a PhD in Pharmacy returns to Bangladesh with the intention of serving his country. He dedicates his research activities to find drug addiction depressants. A young woman joins him as his assistant in the project. In course of time, a schism develps between him and his wife. At one point, his wife Shila hires a goon to put an end to the relationship between Musfiq and his assistant.


Bishokoy  stars  Azizul Hakim, Jitu Ahsan and Chandni.
The serial is written by Masum Reza and directed by Diponkor Dipon.

‘Drama serial: Biborno Bhalobasha 

Storyline: The story revolves around the adventures of a young couple in a village. Bijori and Tauquir elope to an old railway station. They have no fixed destination or plan. In the meantime the station-master Tushar Khan comes with bad news that due to political circumstances the train will not come for 48 hours. 

The worried couple seek help from Khan. While there is no hotel or good lodging in this isolated area, Tushar manages to arrange a bungalow for the couple. Meanwhile the couple realises that they have fallen into a trap engineered by a wrong doer. The story then takes a dramatic turn. The audience must wait to find out what happens next. The serial has gained popularity for its distinctive story line.  

Biborno Bhalobasha  is aired on NTV Bangla at 9.50pm, every Sunday.

Valentine's Day Special - Swapner Neelpori

The story of the play is about two young lovers, Priyota and Shubhro. Their docile classmate, Atonu is also infatuated with Priyota, but cannot express his feelings for her. To Priyota's surprise, one day he sends his mother with a marriage proposal. Priyota makes it clear that she has no feelings for Atonu. Atonu's mother realises all is not well with him and decides to take him to London for treatment. Atonu requests Priyota to bid him farewell. The play ends on a note of suspense.

Apurbo, Tinni and Hillol are the main characters of the play. The play is scripted by Iffat Arefin Tonni and directed by Chayanika Chowdhury.  The play will be telecasted today at 9:15pm on NTV Bangla. 

New drama serial: Mon-e Mon-e on NTV Bangla


 
A new 26-episode TV serial Mon-e Mon-e began telecasting  from January 29 on NTV Bangla.

The story of the serial revolves around Diba and her husband Dipon. The couple gets married on the day of a solar eclipse, without notifying Dipon's family. Diba decides to tackle the challenges ahead and so she goes to Dipon's house. From here the story of the TV serial unravels. To her great surprise, Diba soon discovers that she has a very unusual and quite extraordinary ability: she can read people's minds. At first she becomes confused and frightened -- to an extent that she doubts her sanity.

Soon she realises that she is not hearing things at all, these are thoughts of the people around her so she really can read minds. Everything goes fine until she discovers that her father-in-law had an affair in his younger days. From this point there are many ups and downs in the lives of Dipon and Diva.

Casting: Sara Zaker, Joya Ahsan, Shohana Saba, Tony Dayes, Masud Ali Khan, Chanchal Chowdhury and Farhana Mithu.

The play is written by Matia Banu Shuku and directed by Nurul Alam Atik.
