Even if no money is passing hands and you are agreeing to allow a particular company to use your art as part of an advertising campaign you still must be sure to have the agreement in writing. The same holds true of any artist whether painter, musician, sculptor or author. Each of these professions is an art form and as such they own the rights to anything they create.
