Since the very first day of the creation of this universe a man has been facing the constraint of limited resources and unlimited wants. Knowing this fact yet we are wasting our natural resources with our own hands in the shape of cutting trees to make our colonies, polluting water with the contamination from industries and in many more ways. We do not fear that we are making our world barren for our next generation despite knowing the fact that we are destroying our land with our own hands .Theodore Roosevelt rightly described this condition in words as;

“To waste, to destroy, our natural resources,

to skin and exhaust the land instead of

using it so as to increase its usefulness,

will result in undermining in the days of our children

the very prosperity which we ought by right to

hand down to them amplified...”

Engineers are one of those people who are trying to save the natural resources by making new inventions and invention of the ‘Evolute’ by two mechanical engineers Tom Trainor and  Mark Hutton is the latest example of this reality.  It is invented to reduce water usage in toilet systems by 90-95%, and can even be used with no water at all.

The Evolute toilet uses a mechanical seal to prevent odor. The cupped ball receives waste and a bowl rinse is activated if desired. When the toilet is ‘flushed’ the cupped ball is then rotated, delivering waste/waste water to the sewer. The cupped ball is rinsed whilst in the 'down-facing' position if required. The cupped ball is then rotated back to its upright position.

 In short there is much more to come because of engineering jobs.
