Global Social Business Summit hosted by Grameen starts Nov 4
Dhaka, Nov 1 (UNB) - The second Global Social Business Summit, a 2-day conference designed for the academics, business and technology leaders, and young people involved in practicing and promoting social business around the world, starts November 4 in the German city of Wolfsburg.
The summit will be hosted by the Grameen Creative Lab, and will take place at the conference center of the Volkswagen car company.
This summit will address the experiences of social business, its structure and management, and lessons learnt from existing social businesses.
There will be expert meetings, social business panels and a marketplace for social businesses. Approximately 250 participants from all over the world will be attending the summit.
The speakers will include Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus, Emmanuel Faber (Co-CEO of Danone Group), Herbert Hainer (CEO, Adidas AG), Dr Humbrecht (CEO of BASF), Dr Michael Otto (chairman of Otto Group), author Paulo Coelho, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa of Luxembourg.
Delegations from several governments, including ministers, governors, and mayors will attend the Summit.
The conference is designed for Grameen partners and potential business/technology thought leaders interested in the future of social business.
Through this summit, Grameen intends to share and address the impact of social business on the way they organise, structure and manage it both internally and externally.
The goal of this summit is for all the partners to leave each other armed with tactical advice and empowered to move Grameen’s social strategy forward.
Grameen companies will provide information on their projects at the various events planned as part of the summit
