How do I save a video file .avi from sd card onto hard drive of my computer?
just copy the avi video from sd card and paste it to your desktop,
you will only need a card reader for your sdcard.

If you have a card reader on your PC or laptop, just put your SD card in there and go to the folder where the .avi files are stored then just drag and drop them on to your PC. If you don't have a card reader then just hook up your camera to your PC and go through the same procedure.
