Does anyone have a link for a free flv to avi converter?
I saved the video to my old VCR, they have a device to send the IR signal to the VCR to tell it to start & stop recording.
You could save it on your PC, but it takes a lot of space.
The single most important thing to look for in a camera for the purpose of nature photography, in my opinion, is the optical zoom. The higher the better. If your interest is wildlife then you'll need a long telephoto or zoom - something around 300mm.
try to get a panasonic lumix (that range has some good quality pictures) i've got a DMC FZ7 and it's fantastic, real cheap on ebay now, and there are better updated ones out now that are under £200, but dont seem to be anywere else but on ebay.

I don't think it would have been the camera. I believe they shot the video as normal and edited it on a PC using appropriate software, a program such as 'after effects' would be more than capable of editing a video in such a manner.
