Does Anyone Know When r4 can support avi?
never. ever. it cannot support the file and it would be too big a file to fit on your micro sd. i have tried a long movie on my R4 but it was like 800 mb. Even if there was a hombrew that could support, way too big. So never. Unless you can get someone to make a shrinker which shrinks files it works with some files just not movies and picture and games though.

I'm converting my AVI files to MPEG-2 to be able to burn them to a DVD. After I'm done converting them can I delete the original AVI file without damaging the new MPEG-2 file?
yes, if convert successfully, you can delete the orginal files.
If you want to create video DVD from your videso, there is an easy way, you can try RZ DVD Creator to create standard video DVD from any movies, i have used it, it can directly convert and burn any videos to DVD(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-DL,DVD+DL, etc), such as avi to DVD, mpeg to DVD, etc.
It can burn multi videos to one disc, and can auto fit the size.
