Could someone direct me to a free program that will allow me to convert .avi files to animated .gif files?

I've tried Leawo Free Avi Converter and AVS Video Converter 6. They don't convert avis to gifs. There is another that does, but it creates an obtrusive watermark. Please direct me to an avi-gif converter that doesn't do that.
