I have loads of HD videos, which are with the extensions of .mkv, .m2ts and whatever. How to get MKV files imported to Windows Movie Maker

I wanna make an animate music video, but my Windows Movie Maker only accepts a few types of video files, it is bad that my source file MKV is out of the supported range. This is a troublesome problem, I just want to know if there is an easy way to convert my MKV files to AVI so I can import and use them and not have to re-download the entire anime. How to convert MKV files to WMV for Xbox 360

I have some MKV anime files that I want to play them on my Xbox 360, but every time I try, my console does not work at all.
