Mahsun Kirmizigul

Mahsun Bazencir (born March 26, 1969), commonly known as Mahsun Kirmizigül, is a popular
Turkish Arabesque-pop-folk music singer and actor, and former co-owner of Prestij Müzik, once a
leading Turkish music production company.
He was born in Bingöl, Turkey, in 1969, and grew up in Diyarbakir. In 1993, he released his first
professional album, Alem Buysa Kral Sensin ("If this is the world, then you are the king"), which
became a huge hit. This was followed by other hits like Bebe?im Benim ("My Baby"), and in 1994,
he became one of the three owners of Prestij Müzik.
His 1998 album Yikilmadim ("I did not fall down") has sold more than 2 million copies and became
the best selling album in 1998. The same year, he won three Kral TV Music awards: Best male
Arabesque singer, best song, and best selling song. On the same night, Prestij Müzik musicians
won most of the awards.A few months later, he won the Alt?n Kelebek best musician award.
