BUSH'S BLACKLIST

BUSH'S BLACKLIST
Like the dark and sinister ways of Nixon and his enemy lists, George Bush and his staff have an ongoing effort to intimidate detractors. All who do not support his immoral invasion of Iraq and his illegal domestic spying program are smeared and disgraced in public.

Ex ambassador Wilson, CIA agent Valerie Plame, ex CIA officer Paul Pillar, various members of the press, and now CIA official Mary McCarthy have all been victimized by Bush for exposing the truth.

McCarthy supposedly leaked the existence of reinvented Soviet-era gulags into CIA prisons in Eastern Europe, while Bush authorized blowing the cover of covert op Plame. No intelligence capabilities were ruined by the leak of the secret prisons, which, by the way, are a violation of the Geneva Convention and Human Rights accords, and the disclosure of these CIA-run torture prisons appeared first in European papers over a year ago, far earlier than McCarthy’s supposed leak.

While no intelligence capabilities were destroyed by the leak of the secret prisons, Bush’s leak of Plame caused her cover to be shattered and a covert company was destroyed. Intelligence resources that were concerned with attempting to detect and protect America against weapons of mass destruction, were ruined in Bush’s leak.

Bush, who campaigned on bringing ethics and morality to the White House, has failed miserably. Bush is part of the problem and not the solution.

SOME NEW ORLEAN'S CITIZENS NEED A REALITY CHECK

Monday, 24 April 2006
SOME NEW ORLEAN'S CITIZENS NEED A REALITY CHECK
Some of the constituents of New Orleans need a reality check for endorsing Mayor Nagin for reelection because he cares little about the this great city's inhabitants. Two days before Katrina hit Louisiana, the Red Cross started to preposition its assets and Bush declared an impending disaster, while Nagin did not properly evacuate his city.

Nagin claimed he could not use the numerous school buses and other vehicles before the storm’s wrath because he had “no drivers.” Not true. Some drivers were available and also state/local police, the National Guard and volunteers could have augmented the driving pool. Plus, Nagin’s staff turned down Amtrak’s offer to evacuate some of the stranded citizens.

New Orleans' comprehensive emergency plan clearly states: "Conduct of an actual evacuation will be the responsibility of the mayor… New Orleans will utilize all available resources to quickly and safely evacuate threatened areas. Special arrangements will be made to evacuate persons unable to transport themselves or who require specific life-saving assistance… Approximately 100,000 citizens of New Orleans do not have means of personal transportation."

In July, 2005, Nagin aired a public service announcement on evacuation: "You are on your own." Why didn’t Nagin coordinate a new evacuation plan if he new for months that the city’s previous evacuation plans were faulty?

From 2002 to the middle of 2005, the federal government gave New Orleans $18 million to plan and prepare a levee catastrophe. Mayor Nagin has no accountability for how the money was spent.

After the storm’s wrath, Nagin proposed reopening parts of the city with a tainted water supply and a damaged levee system even though the Federal Government could not assure the safety of the returning people.

New Orleans citizens if you want safety and security, hire a more intelligent and honest person who actually cares about you, for if you choose Nagin, don’t ask other Americans to help you when the next storm hits.

REPUBLICANS AND CALLS FOR RUMSFELD'S FIRING

REPUBLICANS AND CALLS FOR RUMSFELD'S FIRING
George Bush, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, and fellow Republicans quickly circle their wagons and unanimously condemn the continued calls for Rumsfeld’s firing. Republicans claim that if Rumsfeld is fired that it would aid and abet the enemy in Iraq. Republicans cite the false claim that it is inappropriate and unpatriotic for retired generals to condemn a sitting Secretary of Defense. That the generals by doing so are eroding civilian control of the military.

Well, let me take you back to former President Clinton and his controversial policy of “Don’t ask, don’t tell,” of allowing gays in the military. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Colin Powell, publicly disagreed with his commander in chief in 1993, contending that allowing gays to enlist would weaken "good order and discipline." Other retired generals broke rank, too, and vehemently condemned Clinton’s policy. Here is an excerpt from a Congressional hearing in 1993:

I recently received a letter from retired Gen. Maxwell R. Thurman, a figure well known to this body as an extraordinary leader and the general who led our forces to victory in Panama. He is a man I greatly respect. His view echoes the testimony of the Joint Chiefs and other distinguished retired officers to include Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf and Lt. Gen. Calvin Waller. General Thurman says:
My own view is that overt homosexuality in the Armed Forces, if permitted, will be devastating to unit morale, cohesion and, ultimately, unit effectiveness in combat. NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1994 (House of Representatives - September 28, 1993)

Republicans in Congress, some of the same that now condemn the democrats for questioning Rumsfeld’s leadership at the Pentagon, joined with Powell and the outspoken generals. Rep. Tom DeLay, R-Texas, exclaimed that enlisting gays would "undermines the effectiveness of the military“ and "creates health problems." Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich condemned Clinton for tempting in "social engineering." Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., challenged Clinton’s expertise on the issue as a new commander with no military experience: "This president has not one day of military experience, so, clearly, he does not have the expertise on this issue."

Unlike today’s objections to Rumsfeld’s leadership whereby no active duty General has or will come forward to publicly voice objections for fear of retribution, Clinton didn’t reprimand General Powell for voicing concerns against his policy. However, today’s hypocritical Republicans want all to follow the Republican leader, right or wrong, and question not, but to do and die--So much for freedom of speech.

A LIE THAT KILLED MANY

Tuesday, 18 April 2006
A LIE THAT KILLED MANY
Republicans are quick to point out that Bill Clinton lied, as president, abut his sexual encounters. Yes, Clinton did lie, but his lie cost no American casualties, no foreign deaths, no protracted war, and no outpouring of international protests. George Bush, on the other had, lied and fabricated intelligence about Saddam Hussein’s stockpile of weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear and biological weapons, and his ties to al Qaeda, in which his lies have resulted in the deaths of thousands of American soldiers and over 100,000 innocent Iraqis.

Prior to 2002, Bush and his staff universally proclaimed that sanctions against Hussein’s Iraq were indeed effective and that no weapons of mass destruction existed. Former Secretary of State Colin Powell exclaimed on February 24th, 2001, “The sanctions exist…And frankly they have worked. He (Hussein) has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction. He (Hussein) is unable to project conventional power against his neighbors.”

In July, 2001, then National Security Director Condi Rice said on CNN, “We are able to keep arms from him (Hussein). His military forces have not been rebuilt.”

By the end of the year, less than five months after Bush and his advisors assured the public that Hussein was not a threat and had no weapons of mass destruction, Saddam Hussein’s Iraq was transformed into a major weapons manufacturer of convention, biological, and nuclear weapons. By January, 2002, Bush and his advisors were stating publicly that Iraq was designing and manufacturing a nuclear bomb.

Beyond even the scope and speed of the U.S. Manhattan Project in which America dedicated vast resources, highly skilled scientists, and years of work to develop a crude nuclear bomb in the final days of WWII, Bush and his staff claimed that Hussein would develop such a bomb in under six months. Hussein’s Iraq, which Bush and his staff are on record as stating had no weapons of mass destruction in late 2001, went from a primitive, third class military power into an advanced nuclear power in under a year. Remarkable even by today’s standards!

On May 5, 2002, Secretary of State Colin Powell that Saddam is "working feverishly" on nuclear weapons but had not made any recent breakthroughs in his weapons program.

Then National Security Director Condi Rice stated this to CNN on September 8th, 2002, "We know that he (Hussein) has the infrastructure, nuclear scientists to make a nuclear weapon… And we know that …he (Hussein) was far, far closer to a crude nuclear device than anybody thought -- maybe six months from a crude nuclear device…The problem here is that there will always be some uncertainty about how quickly he can acquire nuclear weapons. But we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud."

FIRE RUMSFELD NOW!

Friday, 14 April 2006
FIRE RUMSFELD NOW!

No time in the history of America, has so many retired generals called for the resignation/firing of a Secretary of Defense. This month, 6 retired Generals have voiced this opinion.

Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, the architect of the U.S. invasion/occupation of Iraq is criticized for
invading Iraq with too few troops and disregarding ten years of war planning previous to the war, failing to discourage looting, failing to disarm hostile militias, ignoring and then underestimating the strength of the insurgency, allowing the abuse of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib, and ignoring soldiers who questioned their inadequate body and vehicle armor.

Casualties are mounting--over 2,500 American troops are dead, 50,000 innocent Iraqi women and children have been murdered, civil war is erupting, no Iraqi government has been formed, and Rumsfeld has no plan to win the war or for a US exit strategy.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. John Batiste, former commander the 1st Infantry Division forces in Iraq, stated it succinctly, “We went to war with a flawed plan that didn't account for the hard work to build the peace after we took down the regime. We also served under a secretary of defense who didn't understand leadership, who was abusive, who was arrogant, who didn't build a strong team."

Rumsfeld credibility and confidence is dwindling rapidly among both retired and active duty officers and enlisted personnel. Moral has declined dramatically and enlistments are at and all time low.

GEORGE BUSH AND JESUS

Monday, 10 April 2006
GEORGE BUSH AND JESUS
Good Friday, is the day Jesus was crucified. The Romans stated he was crucified for acts of sedition. Likewise, George Bush, uses various means to discredit and quiet his disclaimers.

It is now known that Bush gave the green light to discredit former Ambassador Wilson for his critical, yet accurate, report on Hussein’s erroneous attempts to procure “yellow cake,” uranium, from Africa and expose his wife’s CIA identity. Bush, as former aide Libby has shown in court documents, slanted intelligence and selectively released Intel that favored his immoral invasion of Iraq.

Bush proclaims to be a Christian, yet acts more like the devil. A Christian is: "One who believes, or professes to believe in Jesus Christ, and the truth as taught by Him; especially, one whose inward and outward life is conformed to the doctrines of Christ."

Jesus’ teachings involved two commandments: "LOVE GOD, AND LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." Jesus stated that this was the whole of God’s commands. Jesus advocated peace.

Bush, who advocates violence and death (the Iraq invasion where nearly 100,000 civilians have been murdered), needs to learn the true definition of a Christian this Easter and abide by Jesus' command of love and peace.

THE FAILURES OF G. W. BUSH

Sunday, 9 April 2006
THE FAILURES OF G. W. BUSH

George Bush is the first president since Richard Nixon’s last month in office in which he was facing impeachment articles for Watergate, to have a disproval rate of 67 per cent. Bush and his Vice President Cheney, whose approval rate is only 17 per cent, have the lowest combined disapproval rate of any presidential team in over 100 years.

Bush's failures include: ignoring 9/11 warnings and his own policy briefing " Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.;" invading Iraq on the erroneous charge of weapons-of-mass-destruction; failure to plan for post war chaos and insurgency in Iraq, resulting in the deaths of over 2400 Americans and nearly 100,000 innocent Iraqis and costing nearly 0 billion; failure to prepare for and respond to Hurricane Katrina, resulting in deaths of over 1000 Americans; failure to respond early and effectively to the U.S. energy crisis; failure to deal with trade and budget deficits; failure to keep the budget balanced and squandering former President Clinton's huge surpluses; trying to allow an Arab country, a financier for al Qaeda, U.A.E., to control America's most vital seaports.

Bush has had numerous associates indicted, arrested, or under investigation, including, Scooter Libby, who was indicted for disclosing the identity of an undercover CIA operative on V.P Cheney's orders to silence a critical report on Iraq's false attempts to gain uranium from Africa, and Claude Allen, Bush's domestic policy adviser and deputy secretary of Health and Human Services, who was charged with felonies for fraudulent returns, amounting to over ,000.

America deserves so much better than the incompetent, dishonest, reckless, George Bush and Dick Cheney, who have driven American down an endless road filled with potholes, uncertainty, and utter damnation.
