"TEN MINUTES OF FAME?"
Once again, another spoiled, immature American tries to capture his 10 minutes of fame. 16 year old Farris Hassan, seeking public attention, ventured aimlessly into a war zone. Hassan, with his father and relatives' help, ran off to Iraq to "observe" the war front.
Why is the media being so kind to Hassan and his reckless, selfish exploits? Hassan should be condemned and punished for his immature, dangerous shenanigans and his parents should be ridiculed for helping him and for their lack of parental guidance and common sense.
Hassan ventured into a country, Iraq, where thousands have been kidnapped, tortured and or murdered.
The prestigious, American 101st Airborne, instead of conducting vital security missions, had to babysit the immature Hassan for nearly two days.
Hassan should not receive glory, but condemnation for his selfish, irresponsible, dangerous actions.
His family should be made to reimburse the Armed Services for their manpower and time in securing him.
