Paris Hilton AND CONDONING DECADENT BEHAVIOR

Americans have become to accepting of deviant, immoral behavior. For example, Paris Hilton has broken the law a few times: D.U.I./reckless driving whereby she was sentenced to 36 months probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines; two more traffic violations, including driving with a suspended license and failing to enroll in a mandated alcohol education program.

As a result of the above, Paris Hilton had to appear in court. At her trial, a city prosecutor ended his statement before the judge that Hilton deserved jail time. Hilton's mother laughed out loud. Then when the judge ruled, Kathy Hilton then blurted out: "May I have your autograph?" Hilton’s mother should have been held in contempt for her two outbursts. This plainly illustrates how the rich and famous believe they are above the law.

Even after this spectacle, some of the naive public still looks up to Paris.

Another example of the public tolerating abnormal behavior is G.W. Bush. He is the first president to have been arrested three times, including theft, serve time in jail, and use illegal drugs for nearly twenty years. Yet, some use him as a role model for their children.

Americans need to place more emphasis on good behavior, ethics, and morals. Americans must stop condoning and tolerating illicit behavior.
