BUSH, THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF
G.W. Bush condemns the democratic congress for involving itself in his Iraq war and states that his war should be left to the commanders with no outside micro-management. However, Bush, the hypocrite, and his inept advisors continues to micro-manage the war with disastrous consequences.
Bush, as the commander-in-chief, should develop a triumphant strategy to defeat, or strike the enemy. Selecting the methods of battle should not be his immediate responsibility, but rather be delegated to skilled military officials. Bush has failed by accepting a flawed plan for the war on terror and then interfering catastrophically in the tactics engaged in implementing it. Bush chose to attack Iraq (no al Qaeda connections) instead of concentrating on bin Laden and al Qaeda.
Defeating terrorism (al Qaeda) involves a different strategy than the one utilized by Bush. It entails an ability to eliminate al Qaeda local chieftains around the world, to disable the group’s propaganda machinery, and to discredit its messages.
Bush needs to reach out to moderate Muslims who are willing to assist America in defeating the Islamist jihadists. Bush needs to enlist the aid of European and Asian intelligence agencies who have a common bond in eliminating Muslim extremists.
Bush must condemn and immediately stop abuses like those uncovered at Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, and Iraq because they are used as terrorist recruitment tools, encouraging Muslims to volunteer for combat in Iraq or join al Qeada.
Democrats in Congress must continue pressuring Bush to make him stop “staying the course,” rethink his failed strategy on terror, stop micro-managing the war, and reverse America’s negative world image. Bush’s tactics have only increased terrorist recruitment and attacks around the world as illustrated in recent State Department and CIA reports.
