Last year, Obama responded in a questionnaire that he would “aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election.”

Now, flip-flop Obama has reversed his campaign promise and will forgo public financing. Obama says the “system is broken.” Why did it take Obama this long to figure out that the public financing system is “broken?” Obama, whose campaign is based on change and reform, shows his true character. He is a man of dubious integrity and one who does not keep his promises.

This should be no surprise. Obama first supported his pastor of 20 years, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who preached racial hatred and anti-American sermons for years. Then, after an overwhelming public outcry, Obama broke ties with his pastor. This time it took Obama 20 years to deduce that his former pastor was making hateful remarks.

America needs a president who has character, not one who flip-flops like Obama.

Obama’s main reason: “John McCain’s campaign and the Republican National Committee are fueled by contributions from Washington lobbyists and special interest PACs.”

This is false. The truth, according to Annenberg Political Fact Check, is “donations from PACs and lobbyists make up less than 1.7 percent of McCain’s total receipts, and they account for only about 1.1 percent of the RNC’s receipts.” In 2004, PACs furnished about 10 percent of the DNC’s total fundraising, and only about 1 percent of the RNC’s total.

Obama, whose campaign is based on change and reform, shows his true character. He is a man of dubious integrity who does not keep his promises.

America needs a president who has character, not one who flip-flops like Obama.

Kirsten Powers, a Clinton Democrat, once again rehashes the McCain’s age issue, something USA Today first wrote about in January of this year.

Powers believes that once you become a senior citizen, your faculties diminish, your life as you once knew it is over, and you soon die.

Powers needs a history lesson. Benjamin Franklin, a Founding Father, noted author, printer, scientist, inventor, and diplomat was over 71 years of age when The Pennsylvania Assembly unanimously chose Franklin as their delegate to the Second Continental Congress. In June 1776, Franklin, over 71 years young, was then appointed a member of the Committee of Five that drafted the Declaration of Independence.

Another example is Gen. Douglas MacArthur, who was over 70 years young when he was appointed commander of the UN forces after the surprise attack by the DPRK that started the Korean War in June,1950.

Powers and other Democrats must learn that “age” is not the issue, but the candidates morality, solutions to the complex problems facing this nation, and his experiences (which McCain’s service to his country as a naval pilot on an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War to his extensive legislative experience far outweighs that of Obama’s).

I attended a Jesuit University, St. Joseph's in Philadelphia, PA in The United States. I had the pleasure of meeting your predecessor, Pope John Paul II. Pope John Paul II stated that priests and nuns should eschew from politics. I hope you hold true the same belief. For over a year, Rev. Michael Pfleger of St Sabrina"s has been preaching political doctrine from the pulpit.

Recently, on May 25th, 2008, Pfleger gave a sermon where he mocked Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Pfleger imitated Clinton by saying, "I really believe that she just always thought, 'This is mine. I'm Bill's wife. I'm white, and this is mine. I just gotta get up and step into the plate.' Then out of nowhere came, 'Hey, I'm Barack Obama,' and she said, 'Oh, damn! Where did you come from? I'm white. I'm entitled. There's a black man stealing my show!'"

Pfleger has always been a controversial priest. In,1981, Pfleger adopted an eight-year-old son, Lamar, in defiance of Cardinal John Patrick Cody Then, in 1992, Pfleger adopted another son, Beronti.

I ask his Holiness to review the facts of this matter and defrock Pfleger immediately.
