Why are reporters and others harping on Hillary Clinton’s near tearful moment in New Hampshire to a lady’s question prior to her victory?
Clinton’s staff claims that Hillary is a woman of emotions, displaying her feelings in private. This false campaign rhetoric is in stark contrast to what their boss, Hillary, actually stated.
Hillary Clinton wrote this to a college friend: “Unthinking emotion has always been pitiful to me." In "For Love of Politics," Sally Smith’s book on Bill and Hillary Clinton, Hillary claims not to submit to emotion, even when others have. Even during her husband’s adulterous escapades, Hillary refused to show emotion, claiming it was for the weak.
It’s sad that some voters are so easily swayed by emotions and not substance. Real problems face Americans: Bush’s Iraq War, the economy, the devalued American dollar, price of oil, etc., which require an intelligent, organized, honest, moralistic person.
The United States can little afford another president that is naïve, ill-trained, and ill-suited for the most powerful position in the world. As John Kennedy said, “The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.”
