Alabama needs new representation in Washington. Senator Sessions should be replaced. Sessions supports domestic spying and warrant-less wiretaps. Sessions also stated that Bush and the NSA should be able to illegally acquire the domestic phone records of millions of innocent American citizens.

Sessions has a very spotty record when it comes to American civil liberties. According to sworn statements by Justice Department officials, Sessions characterized the NAACP and the American Civil Liberties Union as “un-American” and “communist-inspired.” He also said this of the Ku Klux Klan, “I used to think they’re OK,” until learning that some Klan members were “pot smokers” (1996 Congressional Quarterly Profile). (G.W. Bush smoked pot for 24 years, but Sessions has no beef with him!) During his unsuccessful judicial confirmation, Sessions acknowledged describing the Voting Rights Act of 1965 as a "piece of intrusive legislation.”

The United States is a nation of laws and rights, and no one is above the laws of this land. Let’s elect an honest, non-racist Senator who will enforce the laws of this great nation fairly and treat all, regardless of race, equally.

It has taken Bush and the republican controlled congress nearly 5 years after 9/11 to finally start to secure our borders--too little too late. There are over 12 million illegal Mexican aliens in the United States and the number grows by over one hundred each and every day.

Mexican President Fox stated he is upset that Bush plans to utilize the National Guard to secure the border. Well, America is upset with you, Mr. Fox, for aiding and abetting illegal immigration. The Mexican government, per President Fox, published a guide with safety tips for Mexicans illegally crossing into the United States in December 2004. (This was met with no protest from the Bush administration.)

Most Mexican aliens state that they need employment to survive. Well, a car-jacker, who has no car, may need an automobile to transport his family, but that does not make it right to commit a crime. Nor is it right for a thief to steal groceries to feed his family. There are legal and proper remedies to all situations, but not all want to take the time to achieve the desired results.

Currently, the U.S. population is comprised of 13 per cent Hispanic, of which nearly two thirds are of Mexican decent (this does not include the over 12 million illegal Mexicans). Crimes by Hispanics are rising, with Hispanics making up 12 percent of the probation population and 19 percent of the prison population.

Numerous foreigners throughout the world would love to live and work in the U.S., but our country could not support such an influx of immigrants. Laws are important to society, for without them, society itself would self destruct. Consequently, the borders need to be secured immediately.

After the American Idol host announced that 64.5 million people voted in choosing the winner of American Idol, he declared “more people voted than for the president.” Well, let’s examine this closer. In the 2004 Presidential election, over 112 million votes were cast. Nearly twice as many as in American Idol. Adding further insult to injury, one can cast more than one vote for the American Idol candidate, with the average being nearly three votes cast per person. Thus, less than 30 million people actually voted. Also, anyone of any nation or age can vote in American Idol.

American Idol, as illustrated in a Newsweek article a few years ago, is not an upright, honest, show. So it should be of no surprise that the show spouts falsehoods. But, Americans are easily enticed into believing myths and lies.

Now, I realize why so many naïve Americans believed G. W. Bush when he stated that former Iraqi leader Hussein was responsible for 9/11 and had weapons of mass destruction.

If some Americans paid as much attention to current issues and policies as they do following American Idol, America probably would not find itself in the quagmire in Iraq and the President and Congress would be held more accountable.

Mexican President Fox and his government now are meddling in the internal affairs of the United States. As the UN proclaimed, all countries have the right to protect their borders from unnecessary intrusions. Mexican government officials want to break that law.

In Ciudad Juarez, Julieta Nunez Gonzalez, representative of the Mexican government's National Immigration Institute, declared that its migrant protection force, Grupo Beta, will be utilized at remote sections of the border to aid Mexicans in illegally entering the United States. The Mexican government affirmed that it would file lawsuits in U.S. courts if National Guard troops on the border become involved in detaining migrants.

Well, Mexico, why don’t we sue you for: failure to stop drug trafficking--over two thirds of illegal drugs come through Mexico, failure to crack down on your corrupt police force--an Excelsior newspaper poll found 50 percent of Mexicans feared the government was on the edge of losing control of the country, failure to provide livable conditions for your people, and aiding and abetting illegal immigration-- the Mexican government has issued maps marking main roads and water tanks for people wanting to cross illegally into the U.S.

It’s time for the United States to stand up and confront the illegal intrusions and pressures of the Mexican government. America had to stop Mexican Pancho Villa from his border intrusions in 1916-17, and the United States needs to act again before it is too late.

The current alligator hysteria in Florida, whereby 3 women died in gator attacks, has engrossed this state. Skilled trappers have been hired to slaughter alligators because gators have gotten in the way of mankind as it invaded their sanctuary. Gators, waking hungry from a winter of lying dormant and bulls becoming spirited in expectation of mating season, have found naïve people occupying their habitat.

This prevailing attitude of killing anything that comes in America’s way, and invading other’s lands, has also been endorsed by this immoral country. From exterminating over 10 million American Indians to our support of terrorism in Central America--the contras, to invading a sovereign country-Iraq, America shoots first, asks questions later.

The problem with the U.S. is that she tries to impose her ideals and culture on others because she fails to understand and learn other people's beliefs and practices. Americans embrace violence as the first and only means of reliable conflict resolution. This same premise is endorsed by George W. Bush who attacked Iraq without provocation over erroneous intel-- i.e. weapons of mass destruction-- and then failed to take into account Moslem traditions and cultures during the U.S. occupation and rebuilding.

No time in the history of America, has so many retired generals called for the resignation/firing of a Secretary of Defense. This month, 6 retired Generals have voiced this opinion.

Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, the architect of the U.S. invasion/occupation of Iraq is criticized for invading Iraq with too few troops and disregarding ten years of war planning previous to the war, failing to discourage looting, failing to disarm hostile militias, ignoring and then underestimating the strength of the insurgency, allowing the abuse of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib, and ignoring soldiers who questioned their inadequate body and vehicle armor.

Casualties are mounting--over 2,400 American troops are dead, 50,000 innocent Iraqi women and children have been murdered, civil war is erupting, no Iraqi government has been formed, and Rumsfeld has no plan to win the war or for a US exit strategy.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. John Batiste, former commander the 1st Infantry Division forces in Iraq, stated it succinctly, “We went to war with a flawed plan that didn't account for the hard work to build the peace after we took down the regime. We also served under a secretary of defense who didn't understand leadership, who was abusive, who was arrogant, who didn't build a strong team."

Rumsfeld credibility and confidence is dwindling rapidly among both retired and active duty officers and enlisted personnel. Moral has declined dramatically and enlistments are at and all time low.

GEORGE BUSH FIRE RUMSFELD NOW BECAUSE HIS CONDUCT OF IRAQ HAS BEEN MEDIOCRE AT BEST!

Three years ago on this month, George Bush arrived aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and proclaimed “Mission Accomplished” in Iraq. Bush claimed that all major combat operations in Iraq have ended. However, he forgot to tell the insurgents.

In Bush’s speech, he said "The liberation of Iraq is a crucial advance in the campaign against terror. We have removed an ally of al Qaeda…No terrorist network will gain weapons of mass destruction from the Iraqi regime.”

Contrary to Bush’s statement, numerous government investigations concluded that NO weapons of mass destruction existed in Iraq and Hussein had NO ties to al Qaeda. Bush was guilty of grossly distorting and exaggerating the Iraqi threat to Americans.

U.S. deaths have risen since Bush victory speech 1700 per cent. The cost of the war has escalated to over $277 billion. Over 50,000 innocent Iraqis have been murdered.

Bush , who is prone to falsehoods, lied once again, when he claimed, five months after his victory speech aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, that sailors bought and hung the large banner, ‘Mission Accomplished.” The American taxpayers paid for the banner!

Its ironic that Bush gave his victory speech on the carrier that bears Lincoln’s name, a president who valued honesty as the best policy, while Bush embraces duplicity as the best strategy.
