IS GW BUSH A CHRISTIAN?
George Bush and most Americans proclaim loudly and consistently that they are "Christians."
On January 4th, another US plane bombed the wrong target injuring and killing civilians. This time six innocent Iraqi were murdered and three others, including a small child was wounded. The U.S. military statement on the bombing was that the bomb had "...successful effects against insurgents." Where was the apology and condolences to the family for this outrageous tragedy?
Bush and his staff also show little remorse on innocent Iraqi civilian deaths. Regarding the January 4th military mistake, the White House issued the following, "...the military goes out of the way to avoid civilian casualties." Bush very rarely comments on the over 30,000 innocent Iraqi deaths.
Bush, who trumpets his Christianity and morals continuously, is a hypocrite. Why doesn't he show more remorse for the murdered, innocent Iraqis?
A Christian is: "One who believes, or professes to believe in Jesus Christ, and the truth as taught by Him; especially, one whose inward and outward life is conformed to the doctrines of Christ." The disciples were called Christians first in Antioch (Acts 11:26).
Jesus’ teachings involved two commandments: "LOVE GOD, AND LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." Jesus stated that this was the whole of God’s commands. Jesus advocated peace.
Bush, who advocates violence and death, needs to learn the true definition of a Christian and abide by Jesus' command of love and peace.
