NOT ANOTHER LIAR

There goes GEORGEY BOY again falsely blaming the Democrats of blocking Bolton's nomination as UN ambassador for political reasons.

Yet it was Sen. George V. Voinovich (R-Ohio), of Bush’s own party, who prevented a final vote in the Foreign Relations Committee last time and called for more time to study Bolton's past. Bush has a terrible habit of blaming the wrong people for his dismal failures. Bush blamed the CIA and the UN for bad intel on Iraq, even though UN inspectors always claimed that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction. Bush blamed Iraq for 9/11, only to find out it was his close friends, the Saudis, who contribute more than all the other Arab nations combined to al Qaeda, were the majority party in the hijackings.

Former Secretary of State, Colin Powell, a Republican, has condemned the Bolton nomination. His former chief of staff, Lawrence B. Wilkerson, told the New York Times that Bolton would be an "abysmal ambassador."

Bolton is a tragedy waiting to happen. Here is one of Bolton’s comments on the UN: "There is no such thing as the United Nations ... There is an international community that occasionally can be led by the only real power left in the world and that is the United States when it suits our interests and we can get others to go along. And I think it would be a real mistake to count on the U.N. as if it is some disembodied entity out there that can function on its own." -Global Structures Convocation, Feb. 3 1994.

Bolton recently lied to congress when he stated that he had not been interviewed or testified in any investigation over the past five years before Congress. In fact, Bolton was questioned by the State Department inspector general as part of a joint investigation with the Central Intelligence Agency related to Iraqi attempts to buy nuclear.

America has lost most of its cherished credability around the world. Over two thirds of the world’s population have a negative view of the United States. Bolton consistently has condemned the UN even though, as was shown in recent congressional reviews of Bush’s immoral war in Iraq, that only the UN was correct about Iraq weapons.

Bolton has consistently condemened the United Nations, has doubted that European and Asian allies could be counted on to support U.S. positions, and has made a mockery of the world's leaders. America and the world deserve better than Bolton.
