BUSH HAS SETTLED FOR LESS WITH DIRE CONSEQUENCES

Bush and his chickenhawk underlings (Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld) have failed to adopt an effective and winning strategy in Iraq and now have lowered their expectations there. With mounting American and Iraqi civilian casualties and a resounding American chorus of anti- war slogans, Bush and his lackluster team have opted to settle for less in Iraq, which will have dire results for America.

First, the Iraqi constitution proclaims Islam as the official religion of the state, and it is a main source for legislation. No law can be passed that impugns the principles of Islam's rulings. Bush is creating another secular state in the region, similar to Iran. Shiite Islamic clerics will play a pivotal role in Iraq. The constitution grants judges authority to void legislation that may challenge the Islamic faith. To audit such legislation, the constitution establishes the appointment of advisors in Shariah, or Islamic law, to officiate on the Supreme Federal Court. The courts would rely on Shariah, which grants women fewer rights than men.

Second, Iraq was not on Bush and his State Department's list of 45 countries where al Qaeda had operations. Now after America's invasion, Iraq's there. Al Qaida only entered Iraq after the Americans attacked her illegally on false assumptions (i.e. weapons of mass destruction).

Third, since the war began in Iraq, nearly 20,000 innocent Iraqi women and children and close to 2,000 Americans have been killed.

Fourth, America's humble image, prestige, and 9/11 sympathy has been soiled by Bush, resulting in a negative perception of America by nearly three fourths of the worlds population.

Bush, a man of dubious character (arrested three times, a 20 year drug abuser), has tarnished America's image for years to come and is making America less safer in the world. America deserves so much better.

God help America!

WHAT'S NEXT MR. BUSH?

Bush, growing weary of war critics such as Cindy Sheehan's, who lost her son in Iraq and now is an outspoken critic of the Iraqi war, stated, "She doesn't represent the view of a lot of military families."

Using Bush's logic, one should support the Iraqi war because most military families support the war. For your informantion Mr. Bush, military families make up only a very small percentage of the total United States' population. Let's look at recent polls that represent all of America and see what we learn. Nearly 60 per cent of the population is against the war. Using Bush's logic then, since most Americans are weary of the war in Iraq, we should not support it and pull out.

Well, now Mr. Bush, what is the exit strategy in Iraq?

One must remember that exhaustive studies by the CIA, Congress, and the UN found no links between Saddam Hussein and al Qaida prior to the Iraq war. Prior to the war, Iraq wasn't even on the list that the Bush and his State Department put out of 45 countries where al-Qaeda was operating. Now,after America's invasion, Iraq's there. Al Qaida only entered Iraq after the Americans attacked her illegally on false assumptions (i.e. weapons of mass destruction). Also, since the war began in Iraq, nearly 20,000 innocent Iraqi women and children and close to 2,000 Americans have been killed.

Bush claims you are only an American if you support the war. He confuses patriotism with suppport for his agenda. Our Founding Fathers would vehemently object to this. As Thomas Jefferson stated, "Dissent is the highest form of Patriotism." Kudos to Cindy Sheehan and other dissenters!

PAT ROBERTSON IS NO CHRISTIAN

Anyone who supports the 700 club or Pat Robertson is no Christian. Pat Robertson is not a Christian.

The definition of a Christian is as follows: "One who believes, or professes to believe in Jesus Christ, and the truth as taught by Him; especially, one who’s inward and outward life is conformed to the doctrines of Christ." The disciples were called Christians first in Antioch (Acts 11:26).

Jesus said to his followers to enlist disciples by teaching them to follow what he had commanded. Jesus informed them to do this before his crucifixion. Consequently, a follower of Jesus {Christian) only involved abiding by Jesus’ teachings, and it did not involve an elaborate set of rituals or acceptance of an atoning sacrifice because Jesus never taught such a principle. Jesus’ teachings involved two commandments: "LOVE GOD, AND LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." Jesus stated that this was the whole of God’s commands.

Robertson recently stated, "If he thinks we're trying to assassinate him( Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez), I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war" (August 2005). Robertson is well-known for hatred, violence, and immorality. In October 2003, he exclaimed, "Maybe we need a very small nuke thrown off on Foggy Bottom (State Department) to shake things up."

Unlike Jesus who never called for the assasination of any Roman leader or for that matter any violent revolt, Robertson is more kin to the Devil and his ways.

BUSH'S WAR IN IRAQ WAS BASED ON FALSEHOODS.

Lately, more and more Americans are against the war in Iraq.  Sen Chuck Hagel (R--Nebraska), a decorated Vietnam Veteran and  a critic of Bush's handling of the Iraq war,  compared Iraq to Vietnam.  He said, "... (Bush's) stay the course is not a policy."  He added that some of the problem "...is we have no measurement for progress."

As this writer predicted before G. W. Bush’s immoral war in Iraq, that no weapons of mass destruction existed in Iraq nor were there any ties to al Qaeda--prior to the war, Iraq wasn't even on the list that the Bush and his State Department put out of 45 countries where al-Qaeda was operating. Now,after America's invasion, Iraq's there. Once again, I was proven correct by the Weapons of Mass Destruction Commission report on prewar intelligence. It called prewar intelligence "dead wrong."

The report proclaimed, "We conclude that the Intelligence Community was dead wrong in almost all of its pre-war judgments about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. This was a major intelligence failure. Its principal causes were the Intelligence Community's inability to collect good information about Iraq's WMD programs, serious errors in analyzing what information it could gather, and a failure to make clear just how much of its analysis was based on assumptions, rather than good evidence."

George W. Bush and his administration asserted the following false claims: secret purchases of uranium from Africa, biological weapons being made in mobile laboratories, and pilotless drones that could disperse biological gas into the air above U.S. cities. All Bush’s allegations had been disproved by U.N. inspectors and CIA analysts. The work of the inspectors--who had extraordinary access during their three months in Iraq between November 2002 and March 2003--was discounted by the Bush administration before the start of the war, according to the commission.

Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei, the chairman of the International Atomic Energy Agency, "After three months of intrusive inspections, we have to date found no evidence or plausible indication of the revival of a nuclear weapons program in Iraq." Again this was discounted by the Bush administration.

Hans Blix, the chief weapons inspector, stated that he was disgusted of the "spin and hype behind U.S. and British allegations of banned Iraqi weapons used to justify war against Saddam Hussein. Blix, was convinced that Iraq had destroyed its weapons of mass destruction 10 years ago.

Even as late as June 6th, 2003, G. W. Bush was still saying, "We're going to find the weapons of mass destruction."

The facts are firm and solid. G. W. Bush attacked Iraq on false pretentions. G. W. Bush is reponsible for the deaths of nearly 20,000 innocent women and children. G. W. Bush and his administration are reponsible for starting an illegal war.

I am reminded of a great Republican, Lincoln, a one-time congressman before becoming president, who became famous (or rather hated) for introducing the SPOT REOLUTION.

James Polk, a Democrat, was president while Lincoln was in Congress. Lincoln condemned Polk for starting the Mexican War. Congress had declared war against Mexico in 1846 upon Polk’s claim that Mexicans had fired on American soldiers in U.S. Territory.

In December 1847, Lincoln challenged the reality of this assertion. He introduced a resolution (SPOT) inquiring whether the spot on which the firing took place was actually in U.S. territory. In another resolution, he stated that the American troops were on that spot in breach of the orders of their commanding officer, General Zachary Taylor. The next month, Lincoln supported a resolution declaring that the Mexican War had been “unnecessarily and unconstitutionally…begun by the President.”

Sound familiar? Lincoln, if alive today, would likewise condemn Bush’s Iraq invasion. Like Polk, Bush, Jr. falsified the facts for war—weapons of mass destruction and Iraq was an al Qadea base. Both proved false by intensive Congressional reviews. LET’S IMPEACH G. W. BUSH!!!!!!!!!!

BUSH'S MENTALITY: SHOOT FIRST, ASK QUESTIONS LATER

Bush's neighbor, Larry Mattlage, firing his rifle in the air to discourage war protestors sums up Bush's mentality on foreign affairs: shoot first, ask questions later. Bush, ignoring the accurate information of UN inspectors and CIA analysts that Iraq possessed no weapons of mass destruction, chose to attact Iraq.

As Bush was proved wrong once again, Iraq was not concealing any weapons of mass destruction and had no ties to al Qaeda.

Now with nearly 3,000 American soldiers dead and over 20,000 Iraqi women and children murdered by Amerca, Bush says he understands the pain and anguish grieving American mothers indure when their sons are killed in Iraq even though he claims he has never lost a close family member.

Why then has no Bush or Cheney family member enlisted in Bush's immoral war in Iraq? Why has not any Bush or Cheney family member done long term volunteer work at Veterans hospitals or in Iraq? When America was at war with Vietnam, Bush received preferential treatment in the National Guard and avoided Vietnam, while Cheney received an amazing 5 deferents during the same war. His administration is filled with "chicken-hawks" who were afraid to fight for America in the 1960s and 70s, yet do not blink when sending others into harms way.

With no exit strategy in site in Iraq, attacks and deaths increasing in tempo, the stubborn, naive, and immoral Bush claims he made no mistake in attacking Iraq.

NOT ANOTHER LIAR

There goes GEORGEY BOY again falsely blaming the Democrats of blocking Bolton's nomination as UN ambassador for political reasons.

Yet it was Sen. George V. Voinovich (R-Ohio), of Bush’s own party, who prevented a final vote in the Foreign Relations Committee last time and called for more time to study Bolton's past. Bush has a terrible habit of blaming the wrong people for his dismal failures. Bush blamed the CIA and the UN for bad intel on Iraq, even though UN inspectors always claimed that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction. Bush blamed Iraq for 9/11, only to find out it was his close friends, the Saudis, who contribute more than all the other Arab nations combined to al Qaeda, were the majority party in the hijackings.

Former Secretary of State, Colin Powell, a Republican, has condemned the Bolton nomination. His former chief of staff, Lawrence B. Wilkerson, told the New York Times that Bolton would be an "abysmal ambassador."

Bolton is a tragedy waiting to happen. Here is one of Bolton’s comments on the UN: "There is no such thing as the United Nations ... There is an international community that occasionally can be led by the only real power left in the world and that is the United States when it suits our interests and we can get others to go along. And I think it would be a real mistake to count on the U.N. as if it is some disembodied entity out there that can function on its own." -Global Structures Convocation, Feb. 3 1994.

Bolton recently lied to congress when he stated that he had not been interviewed or testified in any investigation over the past five years before Congress. In fact, Bolton was questioned by the State Department inspector general as part of a joint investigation with the Central Intelligence Agency related to Iraqi attempts to buy nuclear.

America has lost most of its cherished credability around the world. Over two thirds of the world’s population have a negative view of the United States. Bolton consistently has condemned the UN even though, as was shown in recent congressional reviews of Bush’s immoral war in Iraq, that only the UN was correct about Iraq weapons.

Bolton has consistently condemened the United Nations, has doubted that European and Asian allies could be counted on to support U.S. positions, and has made a mockery of the world's leaders. America and the world deserve better than Bolton.
