Two for Two! Computer Game Addictions...

by: Seqkat

Mood: I'm good! I'm really good - again - isn't that great?! ;-)
Listening to: Yesterday, by the Beatles - pretty song.

Hello everybodeeeeeee!

It's two for two!  I'm blogging two days in a row - WOW!  Way to go me!

I love computer games - how about you?  Here are my top addictions - SIMS - I can't stay away from that game.  I probably have over 20 houses and families!  And then I get all attached to those families too.  Every now and then when the Grim Reaper comes and takes one of my family members - it's so sad.  I grieve with the remainder of the family!

One of my other addictions are the Harry Potter games.  The first three are great!  You really feel like your actually in Hogwarts.  You get to roam all over the grounds and all through the castle.  You have 360 degree rotation.  You can even stand still and look up at the ceiling or up in the sky if you're outside.  It's amazing.  You get to fly Quidditch and every thing.  The best one for Quitdditch is the first game, for you're in complete control of flying.  It's a little hard at first, but once you get used to it, it's a lot of fun.  The third game you get to play with all three main characters, Harry, Ron and Hermione, where the first two, you could only play Harry, and just interact with Ron and Hermione.

Warning for the fourth game.  I got that one for Christmas, and I was VERY disappointed!  They took away the use of the mouse - a very HUGE NO-NO!  That just the cheapens the game, though the price for the game didn't drop.  And all that 360 degree rotation - gone - zip - nada - doesn't exist! Again, the game was dramatically cheapened in quality. You only get to see what the game forces you to see.  It's like watching a sitcom, when you never get to see the fourth wall - because there is no fourth wall, because that's where the audience is watching.  There a loads of missing fourth walls in this game!  The 2nd time I played I got terribly mad and vowed to never play this game again - and it's a vow I will easily keep!

I went to EA to see reviews - how very clever of them to not allow game reviews at their site.  So, I went to Game Spot and found the majority of the reviews to match mine.

I learned a hard lesson - never again, will I buy a game based on the previous games in the series - I'll go read reviews first.

Okay, my last computer addiction is the Nancy Drew games.  They're a lot of fun to solve the mysteries and there's tons of puzzles through out the games.  In one game, you even get to see the Hardy Boys.

Okay - Those are my main stream computer games.  You got any good ones?  Please share them with me.  I'm always up for a good computer game!  Thanks!

Have a great day, everyone!

In His Joy,
Seqkat >^..^<
