WCG2009 World Finals located in Chengdu, China

The world's largest gaming Festival WCG (World Cyber Games) Organizing Committee selected Chengdu(China) as the WCG2009 city of the final competition, to be signed April 23 in Chengdu.

The WCG 2008 will be held from 5 to 8 November in the centre of Europe electronic games - Cologne, Germany.

Considering the geographic, facilities, IT networks, and the municipal government's marketing plan, WCG Committee selected Chengdu as the city to host the finals. In this poll, the Chengdu municipal government in the strong support for the smooth Saikuang broadcast networks, and other aspects of the preparations to get the highest score in the eight candidate cities come to the fore and ultimately become a global finals WCG2009 the host city.

So far, China becomes the 6th country to hold WCG final, after the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Italy, the United States, Germany. And the 3rd country in Asia after Singapore and South Korea.
