A Network Security Administrator will maintain, manage and operate the network security infrastructure for all Citigroup in Japan, comprised of: Business to Business (B2B) / Common Extranet Platform (CEP) – firewalls used to connect external business partners and services to the groups internal data infrastructure – the standard network architecture designed to provide Internet connectivity and services to the internal corporate network. Within Citiplex, separate pods are provided for web-hosting, outbound Internet services (e.g., web proxies, ftp/telnet gateways), and VPN. Building blocks of the Citiplex include firewalls, load-balancers, DNS and 3-DNS controllers
This is a very dynamic environment, as the infrastructure grows with the strategic expansion of the main data centers and consolidation/retirement of old and legacy systems.The person filling this position will assist with day-to-day operations, routinely checking log reports, executing work requests, performing technical troubleshooting, and keeping up with new security alerts and vulnerabilities. Working with the team, he/she will be involved the definition, design and implementation of infrastructure projects, offering consultancy as well as second level support. The job requires not only technical skills, but also good understanding of corporate standards, policies, guidelines and procedures.
Fluent English language ability (reading, writing, speaking) In-depth understanding of network architecture and firewall mechanisms Thorough knowledge of networking and protocols/services (tcp/ip, telnet, ftp, ssh, snmp, dns, etc.), including WAN/LAN routing (bgp. rip, ospf) Familiarity with web-related protocols and server/browser/caching/proxy applications Basic knowledge of authentication schemes and encryption methods Familiarity with Unix commands and basic script programming (shell scripting, expect, Perl) Abilities to learn new tasks quickly, be a team player, be motivated, and to take initiative
Work Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience with network security administration, experience with Checkpoint Firewall-1/Firewall-NG and F5 products (BigIP, 3-DNS) Previous experience with Solaris/Unix systems administration a plus |
