Donations totalled £60,744. That is fantastic. It has been an exciting year. With the grace of all that is, next year will be even better. Little Stars has now been operating for two years and the combined total of donations is over £95,000. Had it not been for the drastic fall in the value of sterling we would now have collected around 1,000,000 le. Two years ago we would never have thought this possible. The money will be used to help Luxor's disadvantaged and disabled children.  We are not a huge organisation with hundreds of sponsors and access to large grants, we are a simple organisation that already has more than 140 children in its care.  The children are still with their mothers but it is Little Stars that is keeping them from destitution. Those old notes add up and really will make a difference. These particular coins are going to be used to help a little girl who has a terrible skin infection that has eaten away a lot of the flesh on her feet, badly scarred her back and has spread to her face.  She is now receiving proper care through Little Stars and is being collected and taken regularly to the hospital to see a specialist.  She is also being provided with medicines.  So that her recovery is not hindered, she is being monitored to ensure that she receives the regular bathing that is vital for her recovery.  As there is no water in her home... We have been approached by supporters on several occasions recently asking for details of how they can make a bequest to Little Stars in a Will.  The main way of identifying Little Stars is by its unique Charity Commission Registration Number - 1120536.  All other details of the charity including its official address are given on the main website.  We would like to offer our sincere thanks to everyone who remembers the children of Egypt in this way. We are beginning to collect warm clothing for next winter as the demand is great and it takes all summer to gather stocks as people can only bring a small amount with them to Luxor on each trip.
