Little Stars brings about Family Reunion.
It was a once in a lifetime experience for Wendy, one of our supporters, when she was wearing her Little stars identity badge at a fund raising event and a woman and her son asked her to confirm her name. When she did there were shouts of joy as she was the boy’s long lost grandmother that they had been seeking for more than a decade.
All avenues for tracing Wendy had been explored without success in recent years and the family had given up hope of ever meeting her when they were drawn to the Little Stars banner and spotted something familiar about one of our supporters.
This really was a one in a million chance happening as Wendy’s family had not intended to be anywhere near that venue that day. Had they gone where they planned then the reunion might never have happened.
Wendy and her family have a lot of catching up to do and a lot of happiness in front of them. Little Stars is delighted to have been the catalyst in this reunion and to be part of that joy.
