Co-ordinate with vendors for hardware replacements and troubleshooting.
Liaise with regional teams
Handle operations for Linux support and manage performance and monitoring tools installation in co-ordination with regional and local teams.
Designing/implementing global file transfer /file sharing solutions.
Document Linux administration & BCP procedures
Liaise with Change Management Team and adhere to Change Request guidelines.
Expert level skills on administering Linux servers with regards to Operating system support.
Good knowledge of administering similar Unix flavors.
Be an effective team member , and possess strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills;
Be able to work well with others in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment;
Be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Be self motivated, proactive and possess excellent communication skills - written, verbal and formal presentation to senior management
Knowledge of Veritas Cluster Software, Symantec Storage Foundation Suite SFHA ver 4.1 & 5.0 for RH Linux
Windows 2000/2003 a definite plus.
Could be from the IT department of a MNC financial services firm having exposure to service centers / back-office processing units
Fluent English (verbal and written).
