Buying Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill

Buying Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill

instructions and shipping time

seems the treadmill set in a warehouse in Louisville for a couple of weeks before it was delivered.

have someone take another look at the instruction for operating the unit. I almost went nuts trying to find the on/off switch. no where in the instruction does it gives it's location.

before purchasing the unit, I read the reviews so I was prepared to find that not all the bolt holes would line up. for those that did not, I simply did not install them. that is no problem since the ones i left off, does not effect it's structural integrity and I am going to be the only one using it.

other than above, looks like I made a good purchase for the money

Love it!!

Takes up little space and is very sturdy. Using it every day. Agree that it was a chore to assemble, but you only have to put it together the one time.

Bulova Men's 96G74 Chronograph Strap Watch

Bulova Men's 96G74 Chronograph Strap Watch

Nice Watch

Nice watch, my wife had bought me another Bulova watch for my birthday a few years back, the covering for the watch dial doesn't have a scratch on it at all unlike the other watches I own. So when I saw this Bulova watch on sale for $99. I jumped on it, the reail price was like $395. So far so good, I would recommend this watch.

Casio Men's MDV102-1AV Sea Analog Illuminator Dual LED Dive Watch

Casio Men's MDV102-1AV Sea Analog Illuminator Dual LED Dive Watch

A pleasant surprise

Being a watch collector I own many divers and 'diver style' watches, but never even considered buying a Casio. When I saw the price, I thought "I will probably regret this." I ordered it anyway and I must admit that I was wrong. This is a very nice time piece! Fit and finish are impeccable, and the screw-down crown is something you normally associate with more expensive watches.

The lume on the dial isn't the best out there, but certainly good enough for a few hours of illumination. The Super Illuminator system works great, and bright enough to use it as an emergency flash light. Accuracy is top notch. As a rule I don't like rubber straps, and read many complaints about this one. To my surprise it's not bad at all, and (for now) I don't see any reason to replace it.

No flaws? Yes, one: the bezel, which is difficult to turn. All in all this Casio is a great watch for an unbelievable low price.

Great looking watch but doesn't work correctly

I love the look and feel of this watch. The band isnt so bad as many reviews have stated but i got a metal band to replace it anyway because I like metal bands over rubber. My main problem with this watch is that the second hand stopped working correctly after less than a week of having it. It was stopped in position and shook back and forth as if it was caught on something. This has been happening periodically so I am returning the watch for a replacement. Hopefully mine was just defective as most reviews seem to be favorable and Casio has always done it up right and made great watches.

A Great Unit for Me!

I am an overweight couch potato who has not worked out in a long time. I also live in a tiny apartment. The important factors for me were size, good reviews here and Consumer Digest, the incline feature, and the motor. I've had mine for over a month. Overall I'm very satisfied and surprised that I'm actually using it consistently.

Though I have read complaints about the shipping company, CEVA, I have nothing but praise. They alerted me when they were about a half hour away from my location and then two delivery guys carried it up several flights of stairs.

The unit was easy to set up (if you read the instructions). And here's the only reason I don't give this an "I love it!" rating -- the unit is (for me) just about at the edge of my capacity to set up and take down. It's very heavy and I get a small workout when I put it up on it's edge and then take it back down again. I had intended to do that every day, but it's just too much of a fight. I put it up once a week. Maybe I'll get stronger and this won't be an issue for me later on.

I don't use the preset exercise programs yet because most of them are still too fast (and last too long) for me. However, I like the easy-to-read buttons on the panel. I've used the incline and it's fine.

I haven't used the speakers (I watch TV when I'm using the thing). Also, someone commented that the manual was not very good and I concur. However, you can figure things out with a bit of effort -- and trial and error.

OMG -- LOVE THIS TREADMILL!!!

I just received my LifeSpan TR200 treadmill last night and I have to say that I am extremely impressed with it! I actually ordered mine directly from the manufacturer. They not only gave me free shipping and no tax, but knocked the price down to $599!!! It was very easy placing an order with them and I found their sales rep (Tommy) to be very competent. He told me that the treadmill would leave the warehouse that same day and I would probably receive it the following Wednesday. He was right! I was very happy that the shipping company (R&L) called to confirm the delivery date and they held firm to it (and I live in a very rural area -- the closest hub is 2.5 hours away). Previously, I had a horrible experience with purchasing a Horizon T101 treadmill. The shipping company (ABF) canceled about 4 times before finally delivering the treadmill and it arrived heavily damaged. Anyway, I received my LifeSpan treadmill in absolute pristine condition. PCE Fitness did a great job of adequately packing the treadmill with plenty of styrofoam. There wasn't a scratch, ding, dent, or any broken pieces!

My initial impression of the treadmill is nothing short of spectacular. I'm amazed at how quiet it runs. Prior to purchasing the treadmill, I was really concerned about the belt not being wide enough. However, I got on it and didn't have any problems with the belt width whatsoever (I'm 5'7, 145 lbs). My boyfriend even got on it and was able to manage just fine -- and he's 6'2, 200 lbs! The machine feels sturdy and I'm able to easily jog on it.

On the negative side, the incline does not go very high and the speakers are not remarkable. They don't have much bass and tend to crack and pop at the highest level. But the audio input feature is really cool and my iPod sounds great through it. Also, the console shakes a little bit when I walk or jog, but it's not a big deal and you can tighten the blue caps on the bottom as tight as possible to minimize the shaking.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the quality of the treadmill. It not only looks like it's a quality product, but it operates like a quality product -- smooth, quiet, and durable. At first, I was a little skeptical of this treadmill because when I initially came across it online, I thought it looked a little chintzy. I've learned to not be fooled by its simple appearance. Now, I think of it as a completely unique design like nothing else out there. If you live in a small space or just want something that doesn't weigh a ton, get this treadmill. It's stable enough to be a solid contender but not so heavy as to break your back when moving it around. Believe me, it's plenty big; but it's not so overwhelming that it's going to take up as much space as a 200-300 lbs treadmill. You'll love it!

I'll append my review after I've used the treadmill for awhile, and if any problems should develop. But I have a good feeling about this one -- I think it's a keeper!!!

Thanks to all the reviewers who posted comments on this treadmill. Your input was all I had to go on because I purchased this treadmill sight unseen. Thanks for helping me make this decision!!!
