Greece - would they be able to make it to the final again?

Four years ago Greece made a miracle by winning EURO cup. Otto Rehhagel's led an unheralded Greek side to triumph at UEFA Euro 2004 following a 1-0 win in the final against Portugal making his place in the nation's footballing history. The second season of qualifying matches will begin from 2nd June, 2007. Group C is topped by rivals Turkey and Greece with 13 and 12 points. The first match for Greece in the second round qualifiers will be with Hungary on June 2nd and the next with Moldova on June 6th. EURO 2008 Qualifying Matches

The European Football Championship is the main football competition of the men's national football teams governed by UEFA, the administrative and controlling body for European football. UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) being one of the biggest of six continental confederations of FIFA was founded on June 15, 1954 in Basel, Switzerland. The championship, originally called the European Nations Cup, is held every four years since 1960. In 1968, the name of the championship was changed to European Football Championship and is considered as the second-most important competition after the FIFA World Cup.

Euro 2008 will be held at Austria and Switzerland, from 7 June to 29 June 2008. Euro 2008 championships are co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland. A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament. The nations hosting the championship is automatically qualified for the event.The remaining 14 teams will be determined through qualifying matches which started in August 2006 and ending by November 2007.
